Shout out to honeybear, your so right about the p90x!

My husband purchased the system on September 25. He said he wants to give me a "new" hubby for Christmas. It's a 90 day program, and will see results in 90 days. I can tell you after six weeks, he looks awesome! Why is it guys work out and see results right away?
Ive been working out, part time for year and a half and haven't gotten the results he has. >:(

I tried doing a couple of the tapes, the only one I can do, for an hour is the arms and back. As for The Kenpo tape, who are they kidding? At my age, I can't put my body in the shape of a pretzel!

Anyone else try p90x?

I've never heard of it. But when you said Kenpo I suddenly became interested in knowing more. I looked it up. I thought it was kenpo dragon, as in karate. But from the youtube videos I saw it doesn't appear to be anything like I thought.

Women have a lot more fat cells on their bodies because of reproduction. That's one reason why women do not lose or "shape up" quickly. Women are made for having babies (and that really sucks for those of us who aren't interested.) LOL

LOL So it sounds like you have to be in really good physical shape to actually start this program.

I just sold off the remainder of my exercise VHS tapes on Ebay for practically nothing.

I see a ton of work-out videos on Demand by Comcast. The p90x is just to intense for me.

Puppymom!!! Glad to hear from you!! Missed you mucho much!

Here's the deal. Since I have been on thyroid meds for two years, I stopped gaining weight, and actually have lost 40lbs with diet and exercise. I say, I'm looking pretty good, room for improvement.

Let's talk about men. They think they look good, but hey, they have saggy parts too!
Take my hubby for example. He's 6.2, 188lbs, and has no major health issues. However, when he thinks it's ok to take his shirt off while mowing the lawn, not a pretty view. My boys would run inside and say, "Ma!! Dad's got his shirt off again"! We all can see his "man boobs" the whole neighbor hood can. He finally acknowledged that he has them, and decided that the p90x was for him!

Well, guys, this p90x works! It has changed his body for the better! Can't wait till he's done with the program, cause he's looking hot!!

Testimonial by Jetbee!!

One of my guy friends just got this. He says you need to be pretty in shape to even start it, otherwise there's a "pre-training" program if you can't do the regular stuff.

Thanks Jeanette!! :)

I just got my copy of the P90X CD's!!!
And I printed out the workout sheets.
Time to see the chiropractor to make sure I'm good to go - then I start!!!
I don't expect to be cranking out 30 pushups by day two, but I'm going to give it my best.
Hugs!!

Hi bigballofyarn! Your absolutely right! This program is not for the novice beginner. You have to be in good shape to even attempt these workout programs. I can only do a few, I cannot do pull-ups for the life of me....pretty sad...

Hey puppymom! Now we can share our work-out regimen together... pushups..I can do 20, girl style... Have you seen the ladies on the dvd...these gals have to be trainers...oh my.....

Lets keep moving!!
