 scary moment
« Thread Started on Oct 24, 2009, 12:00am »

I was crossing the street and all of sudden this Ford Explorer came at me and it was literally so close to getting hit... I was shaken. It felt like time stopped and I was just so in shock. Did anyone had a very close call in their lives?

Wow, that was a close call. I'm glad you are okay Watermelon. :-*

I guess the closet I came was getting slammed from behind by a truck. The car in front of me was waiting to make a left had turn, and I was stopped behind him. I didn't even see the truck coming. The next thing I knew, I was looking at the ceiling of my car. He had hit me so hard, he shoved me into the car in front of me, and my front bumper was even with my grill. It also broke my seat so that I was laying down in the car. I was stunned, and may have actually blacked out for a few seconds. The guy that hit me came running up and pounded on the window, shouting "Are you okay?" He thought he had killed me.

That is scarey, Watermelon. I am sooo glad that you are okay and nothing serious happened!

Martha, That sounds like a horrible accident. I wonder what the driver of the truck was doing? Anyway, I am so glad that you came out of it alright!

When I was a kid, I was with a girlfriend and we were crossing a railroad bridge with hardly any room on the sides of it. I think we were a little over half way across and a train started to come. I was running behind my friend. I barely made it to the end of the bridge before the train came.

Yes!
Several yrs ago, I was driving a friends car (she was with me) & it was icy out, we came upon rail road tracks & out of no where there was a train. Of course what is the 1st thing we do???

PUT ON OUR BRAKES! so I did, and slide on the ice towards the train & slid sideways right down the track!

When I was a little girl of 3 yrs old, my great Uncle took me to see a train & we got so close that I felt the breeze from it & I've been scared of trains ever since.I detest when they blow their whistles! So you all can imagine what this did to me.

We were safe & so was my friends car.

I was walking across the wide striped area in front of a store years ago. A woman was driving up the parking row and as she made the turn at the pedestrian crossing, she was looking down the next row and almost hit me. I screamed and she stopped in time.
